OBITUARY Eddy Gene Manska was born on September 6, 1953 in Morris, MN the son of Edwin and Georgia (Smith) Manska. He graduated from Morris High School in 1971 and continued his education at Anoka Technical College to become an electrician. Ed worked for several electrical contractors in Minnesota and in Fargo, ND. He moved to Burnsville, MN where he worked for Control Data until his early retirement because of his battle with MS. Ed met Tami Matson while he worked in Fargo, ND. After a few years they were united in marriage on June 30, 1984 in Fargo, ND. Together they lived in Burnsville, MN for 20 years before moving to Alexandria in 2004. Ed loved the outdoors. He hunted ducks, pheasants, and deer. He also went fishing, ice fishing and camping. Ed had an inviting personality with a perfectionist and hardworking attitude. He was fun loving man who loved to talk with anyone about anything. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Ed G. Manska died on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at his home after a long battle with MS at the age of 60 years old. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Tami Manska of Alexandria; parents Edwin and Georgia Manska of Morris, MN; loving pet poodle Rocky; brother-in-law Rick Matson of Fargo, ND; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Scott Matson. A Memorial Service was held on Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Wayne Erickson officiating.
