Edward Wadsworth Edward M. ?Ed? Wadsworth was born on July 15, 1938, in Overbrook, Kansas, the son of Roy and Frances (Boult) Wadsworth. He moved to Alexandria with his family when he was a young teenager and graduated from Alexandria Central High School in 1956. He met Evadne Ziegelman while in high school and the two were united in marriage on June 30, 1956. Ed began work at Bellanca Aircraft for a short time before moving to Sauk Centre and eventually back to Alexandria where Ed began working in business with his father-in-law, Melvin Ziegelman at Alexandria Hardware. Ed worked, owned, and managed Alexandria Hardware until his retirement from there in the early 1990?s. After retirement he worked for Utopia Tours and Executive Express as a driver. Ed enjoyed hunting ducks and pheasants when he was younger and also enjoyed serving as Boy Scout leader. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and had an uncanny way of connecting with all 14 of his grandchildren. Ed died on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at his home in Alexnadria with much of his family at his side. He is survived by his wife Evadne Wadsworth of Alexandria, children Julie (Rex) Mindach of Alexandria, Jeff (Vicki) Wadsworth of Alexandria, Steve (Edie) Wadsworth of Bean Station, TN, and Sue Wadsworth of Alexandria.; grandchildren Sophie Mindach, Adrian Mindach, Leighton Mindach, Joshua Wadsworth, Daniel Wadsworth, Malachi Wadsworth, Savannah Wadsworth, Marcus Wadsworth, Nicholas Wadsworth, Emaleigh Wadsworth, Eleanor Wadsworth, Elsa Wadsworth, Hannah Pittman, and Greta Wadsworth as well as great-grandchildren Jayden Mindach and Mateo Pittman. Also surviving are a brother Brent Wadsworth of Wyoming, MN, and a sister Teresa Widstrom of Coon Rapids. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, and two half-brothers. Memorial Services were held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at the Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. David Hinz and Rev. William Moeller officiating. Music was provided by organist Mertice Brueske. Private interment was held prior to the service at the St. John?s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Garfield, Minnesota. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home www.andersonfuneral.net
