Edith Mathilda Larson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on October 6, 2023, at Bethany on the Lake, at the age of 91 1/2.  Born on March 14, 1932, in Millerville, MN, Edith was the daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Korkowski) Webskowski.

Edith's life was defined by her unwavering love and dedication to her family. She met the love of her life, Leland "Mert" Larson, while attending a dance at Hillside Supper Club in Alexandria. Their strong connection led to their marriage on July 21, 1956 at The Church of St. Mary in Alexandria. Together, they shared a loving union that brought forth six beautiful daughters: Kathy, Sandy, Sherry, Laurie, Brenda, and Dawn.

Edith embraced her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with immense warmth, tenderness, and grace. She was known for her keen wit, and a spirit that radiated love wherever she went. Edith made every effort to ensure that her family felt cherished and adored, going above and beyond to celebrate their milestones and accomplishments.

In addition to her role as a devoted homemaker, Edith pursued various endeavors throughout her life. She worked at Anderson Furniture Store as a clerk, Alex Clinic as a receptionist, bookkeeper/assistant to her husband when they owned Mert Larson Equipment, and in her later years, she worked at Alexandria Technical and Community College in food service.

Outside of her work, Edith had a zest for life and a passion for her hobbies. She had an interest in sports, particularly following her beloved Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves. Edith's baking was legendary, and her kitchen was always filled with the heavenly aroma of freshly baked goods. She also loved to sew, go fishing, and spent many summers gardening.

Edith's faith was a rock of strength throughout her life. Her strong Catholic beliefs guided her actions and provided her with comfort and peace. She was a dedicated parishioner of The Church of St. Mary.
