Edward Kephart

Edward Lester Kephart passed away February 1, 2014 in Rochester, MN. Ed was born February 7, 1956 and built an amazing life in Alexandria, MN. On June 10, 1976 he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Jo Krautkremer, and together they raised three beautiful children, Wade Kephart (Gray), Kasey Kephart Braun (Greg), and Riley Kephart. Ed is known for his entrepreneurial achievements in the community, but more importantly, for his unwavering kindness, caring, and his infectious laugh and charming smile. Ed loved playing his guitar, gem hunting and collecting, working on his seasonal campground and resorts, hiking, fishing, hunting, traveling and any adventure he could find. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Mary Jo; three children, Wade, Kasey, and Riley; granddaughter Nora; mother Selma Kephart; brother Rich Kephart; sisters Michelle (John) and Marsha (Steve). He is rejoined in heaven with his best friend Jake, ready to continue their adventures. Services will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00pm at Alexandria Covenant Church. Visitation will be held at 1:00pm.
