Eldonna Reed

Eldonna ?Donna? Reed was born on August 20, 1928, in Hendricks, Minnesota the daughter of Albert and Emilie (Eichhorn) Ahrendt. She attended school in Hendricks. On February 16, 1951, Eldonna was united in marriage to Arthur William Reed in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple resided in Sioux City for a couple of years before purchasing a farm in Clarissa. The Reeds were blessed with two children: Connie & Billy. In the early 1980?s the couple retired and moved to Alexandria where they enjoyed thirteen years on Mill Lake before moving into town. Donna will be remembered as a woman who had a strong faith, virtues, was a hard worker and a very determined woman. Eldonna died on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. She is survived by her two children: Connie & husband, Jerry Schultz of Fort Wayne, IN; Billy of Alexandria; grandson, Jonathan of Fort Wayne, IN; brother, Lyle. She is preceded in death by husband, Arthur; two sisters & one brother. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 2, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Burial was at Geneva Cemetery. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
