Elizabeth (Betty) L Michel

Elizabeth L. Michel, affectionately known as Betty, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born on March 23, 1936, in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Betty graduated from Good Counsel Academy in Mankato, Minnesota.

Her greatest pride came from her role as a loving wife and mother. She married Wesley (Wes) Michel and together they raised four wonderful children: Sue (Craig), Steve (Mary), Mary (Gary), and Tom. She took immense joy in nurturing her legacy through her eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless joy.

Betty was well-known for her culinary skills, delighting her family with her cooking. Her love for dogs added warmth to her home, and she enjoyed playing card games and cribbage. In quieter moments, she found pleasure in watching game shows and listening to books.

She enjoyed a long and relaxing retirement in lake country, where she could fully embrace her love for nature and leisure. Her family will forever cherish the memories created during those peaceful years.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother, and one sister. Her memories and the love she instilled in her family will continue to resonate through generations, serving as a reminder of a life well-lived. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
