OBITUARY Elizabeth ?Beth? Rhoda Burss was born on March 12, 1931 in Alexandria, MN, the daughter of Milford and Freda (Voight) Trefethren. Beth attended school in Alexandria, MN. She married Dale Burss on September 21, 1949 and 10 children were born to this union. Beth was the foundation of the family. She made sure her children were taken care of while they grew up. She was a great cook and a wonderful baker. "Gram" was famous for her delicious brownies. She liked gardening, bird watching, and spooky movies. She also liked sewing, quilting, playing cards, and reading. Beth took one hour out of the day to watch her favorite daytime soap opera, ?Days of Our Lives?. During that hour Beth did not answer the door or her phone or talk to anyone. Besides Beth?s one hour to herself, her time was spent helping raise her grandchildren with love and compassion. When a new grandchild was born into the family, she made them each a special quilt.
