Elton W. Johnson, age 80, of Alexandria, MN passed away peacefully at home on December 15, 2022.

Elton Johnson was born in Willmar, MN on August 29, 1942, and grew up and graduated in Hector, MN. Elton had a variety of interesting careers which included attending a college of medical technology and spending 4 years in the USAF where he was a mechanic on the C- 130 flying to almost every country. He worked for Boeing in Seattle and he also lived and worked in Healy, Alaska. After moving back to MN in 1969, he started working with Bellanca aircraft where he met his wife Carla (Allen). The two were married on August 16, 1969, in Morris, MN. They moved to Alexandria, MN soon after they got married. Elton and Carla were happily married for 53 years. Elton was involved in agriculture for most of his life whether it was in high school FFA, 4H or the farming he did after his time with the Air Force. He was known for being a skilled handyman and he was always willing to extend a helping hand to those in need. In his free time, he enjoyed writing, painting, and spending time with his beloved animals. Elton’s family meant the world to him. He was a loving husband, father, proud grandpa, and great grandpa.

In their 53 years of marriage, Elton and Carla had 3 children: Kelly Johnson, Amanda (Rick) Fritz, and Andrew (Leslie) Johnson. 8 grandchildren: Karl Fritz, Melissa Fritz, Cody Fritz, Katie Fritz, Christopher Fritz, Isabella Johnson, Brooklynn Johnson, and Landen Johnson. 2 great grandkids: Elton and Harrison. He is also survived by his brother: Bob (LaVonne) Johnson.

Elton is preceded in death by his parents; Elton Johnson and Althea (Delong) Johnson.
