Esther Faber

Esther B. Faber, age 93, of Alexandria, Minnesota, died on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Douglas County Hospital.
Esther was born on October 22, 1923, in Miltona Township to William and Mary (Witte) Krause and was baptized and confirmed at Saint Paul Lutheran Church of West Miltona. She attended the Miltona School.
Esther was united in marriage to Leo Faber on April 28, 1943. The couple farmed in the Alexandria area and had four children.
She cleaned at the Tom Thumb Laundry for 20 years and was famous for her homemade rosettes and jams. She also enjoyed all kinds of music, gardening and embroidery.
Esther is survived by her daughter, Hilda (Calmer) Johnson of Alexandria; sons: Henry (Tana) Faber of Fishers, IN, Ricky SR. (Catherine) Faber of Alexandria; daughter-in-law, Marilynn Faber of Alexandria; ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo in 1983; son, Ray in 1994; granddaughter, Lori Johnson in 1968; parents: William and Mary Krause; brother, Laurence Krause; sister, Eleanor Jante.
