OBITUARY EUGENE E. CARLSON Eugene Enoch Carlson was born on June 4, 1957 in Denver, CO the son of Dewitt and Eleanor (Richardson) Carlson. He grew up in Denver and moved to Hibbing, MN in 1975. He then moved to Alexandria about 20 years ago to be closer to family. Eugene loved the water. He liked to swim, ride in the boat, and go fishing. He also liked to watch ?Old Westerns? and sports on the television. He was good-hearted man who was always loving and caring to his family and friends. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Eugene E. Carlson died on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at his apartment in the Viking Towers in Alexandria. He is survived by his mother Eleanor Carlson of Alexandria; brothers Eric (Linda) Carlson of Alexandria; Craig (Juanitta) Carlson of Tucson, AZ; sister Luann (Dennis) Thornberg of Lakeville, MN; nieces and nephews Jennifer, Joshua, Heidi, Cheynne, Brianna, and Amanda; aunts and uncles Harold (Helen) Mattox, Curtis Carlson, Richard Carlson, and Don (Norma) Richardson. He was preceded in death by his father Dewitt Carlson and brother Bradley Carlson. A memorial service was held on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria with Dennis Thornberg as the celebrant. Honorary Pallbearers were Eric Carlson, Craig Carlson, Dennis Thornberg, Joshua Thornberg, and Jimmy Wagner. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home of Alexandria, MN.
