Evelyn Branch

Evelyn Charlotte (Grenson) Branch was born on May 17, 1923 in Starbuck, Minnesota to Edwin and Clara (Brenden) Grenson. She was baptized and confirmed at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck. Evelyn graduated from Starbuck High School in 1942. She moved to Minneapolis and worked at Munsingwear.

Evelyn was united in marriage to Chester Branch on October 26, 1945 in Starbuck. The couple farmed south of Starbuck where Evelyn helped with all aspects of farming and was also the homemaker. The couple was blessed with three children. Evelyn was always ready for company with the coffee pot on and cookies on the table; many knew that noon was the best time to stop to get a good meal that Evelyn had prepared.

Evelyn enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, and baking and most important to her was her family.

Evelyn died on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Peaceful Bliss in Alexandria at the age of 91. She is survived by her son, Ron (Ann) Branch of Alexandria; daughter Denice (David) Velde of Glenwood; grandchildren, John, Carl and Eric Branch; four greatgrandchildren, Kyra, Sebastian, Eden, and Carter; brother, Earle (Margaret) Grenson of Alexandria; and nieces and nephews. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Clara; husband, Chester; son, Charles; grandson, Frank Branch; sister, Doris Rundquist; and brother, Allan Grenson.
