Evelyn LeSuer

May 17, 1916 — January 20, 2018

Evelyn Jennie Mae (Wegener) LeSuer was born on May 17, 1916, in Woodside Township, Ottertail County, MN to Louis and Martha (Eheler) Wegener. She attended school around the Bertha area and at the age of 18 helped take care of her mother. Evelyn was united in marriage to Arthur A. LeSuer in 1933. The couple was blessed with four children, Leslie, Shirley, Art and Helen. She worked as a homemaker and continued to take care of her mother until her passing. After her kids were older, Evelyn went to work as a cook and worked at various restaurants in Glenwood. She was an excellent cook and was known for her cinnamon rolls and bread. Evelyn was a people person and had a wonderful gift of talking to people. She enjoyed bingo and playing cards, especially competing against her husband. Most of all, Evelyn was a wonderful daughter, mother, wife, and grandmother. Evelyn died on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Bethany Home in Alexandria at the age of 101. She is survived by her sons, Leslie LeSuer of Des Moines, IA and Art LeSuer of Alexandria; daughter, Helen Rosen of Glenwood; grandchildren, Tom LeSuer, Art L. LeSuer, Steve (Gina) Rolseth, Debbie Davis, and Trish Rolseth; great-grandchildren, Mason Rolseth and Madden LeSuer; and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur A. LeSuer; brothers; and sisters. A private committal service was held at Greenwood Cemetery in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
