Ewald Eugene Wussow died on Friday, November 11, 2016 in a farm accident at the age of 62 years of age. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11AM at Ebenezer Lutheran Church near Leaf Valley, MN. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the Anderson Funeral Home and also for one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Ewald Eugene Wussow was born on February 7, 1954 in Parkers Prairie, MN and is the son of Elroy Frank and Lucille June (Bast) Wussow. He grew up on a farm in Leaf Valley Township. He was baptized and confirmed at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Leaf Valley, MN. Ewald was involved with FFA and worked as a hired hand for Kenneth Wussow for approximately two years to earn FFA credits. Ewald graduated from Jefferson High School in 1972. After high school Ewald worked for Miltona Creamery driving a milk route. He also worked for Boatworks, the Coke-Cola plant and Kangas Equipment in Garfield. Since 1981 Ewald worked at Garfield Truss Systems Inc. He made rafters, floor trusses, deliveries, and helped with maintenance on the machinery and the buildings for 35 years.
In his past-time he loved being outside, farming with his brothers Donavan, Elroy James, Allan, Brian and John repairing machinery and equipment on the farm. Ewald was a kind, loving, selfless, and thoughtful man who helped his family and neighbors when they needed a hand. He was a peace maker and helped hold the family together. Ewald was lovingly known by his family and neighbors by a number of different names like: Big E, E Wie, Uncle E and E. He loved a good meal and enjoyed visiting with all of his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was a Godfather to Dana Wussow, Shannon Himley, and Katie Wussow. He will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother Lucille Wussow of Alexandria, MN; 8 siblings: Donavon Wussow of Alexandria, MN; Allan (Beth) Wussow of Alexandria, MN; June (Rick) Hart of Katy, TX; Linda (Kenneth) Gregory of Mesquite, TX; Brian Wussow of Garfield, MN; Lori (Craig) Hornberger of Alexandria, MN; John (Rondi) Wussow of Garfield, MN; and Dana Wussow (Cody Isdahl) of Carlos, MN; 14 nieces and nephews: Edward "Lee" Madole of Garfield, MN; Shannon (Nathan) Himley of Brainerd, MN; Sara Wussow of Randall, MN; Courtney Brandsted of Parkers Prairie, MN; Dominic Brandsted of Parkers Prairie, MN; Justin (Stacee) Hart of New Braunfels, TX; Jason (Lisa) Hart of Katy, TX; Steph Wussow of Garfield, MN; Heidi Wussow of Garfield, MN; Andrew Hornberger of Bismarck, ND; Joshua Hornberger of Alexandria, MN; Michael Wussow of Garfield, MN; and Katie Wussow of Garfield, MN; niece-in-law Lisa Gregory of Addison, TX. He also had 8 great nieces and nephews and his furry four-legged friend "Jake".
He was preceded in death by his grandfather's, Otto Bast and Ewald Wussow; grandmother's, Theresa Bast and Olga Wussow; father, Elroy Frank Wussow; brother, Elroy James Wussow; sister, DiAnn Plummer; infant sisters, Katherine and Lisa Wussow; brother-in-law, Ken Plummer and nephew, Aaron Michael Gregory and many aunts and uncles.
The family of Ewald Eugene Wussow would like to thank everyone who attended the celebration of his life.
Interment was in Ebenezer Lutheran Church Cemetery. Casket Bearers were Steve Trisko, Joel Dahlheimer, Doyle Kolehn, Wayne Classen, Craig Erickson, and Robbie Carlsen. Honorary Casket Bearers are Ewald;s brothers, Donavon Wussow, Allan Wussow, Brian Wussow, John Wussow, sisters, June Hart, Linda Gregory, Lori Hornberger, Dana Wussow and his nieces and nephews.
