Exadie “Buzzy” Wilhelm Jensen was born on April 18, 1932 one of eight children to Chris and Lydia (Techau) Jensen of Worthington, Minnesota. Buzzy attended grade school in Owatonna. After grade school, he helped his dad as a well driller. Throughout his life, he helped people with farm work, worked for the Nelson Creamery driving truck, and was also employed for Herzog and I94 roofing company. For the last 55 years of his working life he worked in Salvage. Buzzy enjoyed attending auctions looking for scrap metal from old cars, and machinery. When he wasn’t busy working, he enjoyed ice racing, watching and participating in demo derby’s, and loved German Shepard dogs, often having one at home by his side.
Buzzy was a man who loved his family. He raised his children with firm discipline and encouraged a strong work ethic. He shared his passion and knowledge of scrapping with his children, with his sons carrying on the family business. His niece remembers how fun it was as a child to visit uncle buzzy’s house, where there were no rules. Every generations remembers and enjoyed the family tradition of being part of the demo derbys. They will all dearly miss his personality and friendship.
