Fitzgerald Diane

DIANE FITZGERALD SEXTON Diane Lynn Fitzgerald was born August 22, 1947 in Pipestone, MN, the daughter of Bertram and Madeline (Hansen) Fitzgerald. At age three her family moved to California where Diane grew up and attended school. In 1974 Diane returned to Minnesota and made her home in Prior Lake. She became a loan processor and worked for a number of different mortgage companies in the Twin Cities. Diane enjoyed reading and loved her Kindle. She also loved dancing and music; when Diane heard music her feet started moving. Diane spent time doing craftwork. She was skilled at needlepoint. She also would create Christmas ornaments and picture frames. Diane loved jewelry. She collected, designed and created jewelry. For a time she sold her creations though DLS Designs. Diane?s family was very important to her. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Diane battled lung cancer and her last days were spent at her brother?s home in Alexandria. With her brother, nieces and nephews at her side Diane died at the age of sixty-three years. Diane was preceded in death by her parents; one bother, Dennis Fitzgerald and one sister, Belva Sherman. She is survived by her brother, Bud Fitzgerald of Alexandria; nieces and nephews, Tommy Daniels, Jim Fitzgerald, Jeff Fitzgerald, Katie Fitzgerald, Steve Fitzgerald, Tim Fitzgerald, Pat Augdahl-Boehmer, Terrie Perkins, Jeannie Fitzgerald, David Fitzgerald and Becky Christenson; and numerous great nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN. Rev. David Gran officiated.
