Flora Mae was born on April 27, 1926, in Alexandria, Minnesota the daughter of Albert and Vera (Barlett) Johnson. She was united in marriage to James Olson on October 27, 1945. After their marriage the couple moved to Evansville and then to Alexandria where they raised their four sons.
Flora Mae also worked at the Legion Club for several years. She was a hard worker who also enjoyed cooking, baking and working in her vegetable and flower garden when she was at home. Flora Mae and Jim loved to dance. She loved a good game of cards, and will be remembered as a very kind person.
Flora Mae died on Saturday, May 23, 2015. She is survived by her son, Donovan of Alexandria; daughter in law, Sue Jung of Alexandria; and two grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James. Sons: Douglas, Darrell and Dennis and two brothers; 2 half-brothers: Louis & Allen Mielke and a half-sister Eunice Graf.
