FLORIAN E. LINDNER Florian Everette Lindner was born on June 27, 1927 in Carver County the son of Valentine and Lydia (Domras) Lindner. He attended grade school and helped out on the farm and also did cement work in the area. He married Dorothy Kucera on September 10, 1953 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Silver Lake, MN. Three children were born to this union Linda, Barb, and Donna and 8 grand children, 13 great grandchildren. They lived in Maple Lake and Florian worked for Minnesota Rubber Co. as a press operator for 16 years. He then began to work for Sterner Lighting in Winsted, MN and farmed near Hutchinson, MN for over 10 years. Florian moved to Carlos, MN for a short time and then moved to Oregon where he was a former member of the Sub-ordinate Oregon Granger and the Oregon State Granger. In 1995 Florian and his family moved back to Minnesota to the city of Evansville. Florian loved to fish, woodworking and was a flee market dealer peddling fridge magnets, bat houses, and other crafts. Florian also loved to travel around the country with his wife Dorothy. Florian E. Lindner died on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Belgrade Nursing Home. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Dorothy Lindner of Grey Eagle, MN; daughters Linda (Van) Rioux of Iron, MN; Barb Zupan of Evansville, MN; Donna (Larry) Hadsell of Grants Pass, OR; seven grandchildren Robert, Michael, Kristie, Amanda, Chris, Colin, and Shaun; 13 great grandchildren; sisters Lorretta Krause of Waconia, MN; Esther Heldt of Waconia, MN; Glenna Krause of Young America, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Les Petterson; brother Edgar Lindner and sister Grace Riley. A Memorial Mass was held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Our Lady of Seven Dolor?s Catholic Church in Millerville, MN with Father Leroy Scheierl officiating. Kim Byrne provided music. Interment was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home.
