Florence Zwieg was born in Mahnomen, Minnesota on April 25, 1921 to Emil and Minnie Riedel.
Vernon Zwieg proposed to Florence Riedel on the very top of a Ferris Wheel. How romantic was that… They were united in marriage on October 7, 1942. They had four children: Roger and wife Janet, Albert and wife Kathy, Laurie, and Lynn and husband Jerry. She was a grandmother to seven grandchildren, Sonya, Jim, John, Jeff, Karie, Joni, Jason, Kelly, and Melonie; 13 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren with one more on the way.
Florence was a very social butterfly. She loved talking and getting to know people, always having time to for anyone. She was an excellent cook, baker, and candy maker. She volunteered a lot of her time helping others. Florence loved going to the casino, playing Bingo, going dancing and Champion Wii Bowling, she even bowled a perfect score 300.
Florence left this world on February 3, 2021, to be with her Lord and to reunite with our dad. What a heavenly reunion that will be. She was a true believer in the afterlife, listening to God’s words daily on different TV stations and on the radio, never missing a day. She loved our Lord and she prayed daily for us all.
Florence will definitely be missed, leaving an imprint on many hearts. Florence was just shy of her 100 Birthday on April 25th, but sadly it was not meant to be.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband Vernon, three brothers, Amee, Raymond, and Harold, and two sisters, Dorothy and Violet.
