Gary Miller

Gary Steven Miller was born on December 13, 1956, in Cloquet, Minnesota the son of Melvin & Alice (Cope) Miller.  He attended Wrenshall High School and graduated in 1974.  Gary moved to Alexandria in 1978 to help his parents operate Miller’s Crestwood Golf Course.  After his parents sold the golf course he worked at Nordic Trails Golf Course.

Gary was loved by all who knew him.  He was very close to family and they held a special place in his heart.  He also made numerous friends working at the golf course and his passionate affiliation with the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

Gary died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 11, 2021.  He is survived by his parents: Melvin & Alice Miller; sisters: Melanie (Leslie Brandlin) Miller, Kelly (Steven) Decko; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Keith.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.  A luncheon will be served after the service at the Eagles Lodge in Alexandria.  Due to Covid capacity limitations at the funeral home the service will also be live streamed. People are welcome to watch the live stream as a group at the Eagles Club .  The Eagles Club is located at 526 North Nokomis Street.  CDC guidelines of wearing masks and social distancing will be followed at the funeral home.
