Gary "Zeke" Herigon

Gary “Zeke” Herigon, age 70, of Glenwood, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 29th, with his wife Mary, by his side. 

Zeke spent much of his younger years fishing, hunting, trapping and spending as much time outside as he possibly could. Having farmed most of his life, there wasn’t much that kept him from doing chores,  taking care of livestock, and driving a tractor for hours on end. 

Zeke was a man who could do it all. When he wasn’t working, you could usually find him in the garden or out in the shop tinkering with something. He could tell you how to fix the lawn mower or how to grow the best cherry tomatoes. He loved cooking and baking and was known for “doctoring up” any recipe to make it a flavor all his own. 

Zeke was a straight shooter, known to tell it like it is and there was no such thing as sugar-coating when he was around. He was quick-witted and had a knack for giving nicknames to everyone (whether they knew it or not). Humor and heart are what carried him through his final years. 

Zeke and Mary spent 32 years together. Zeke has 3 children, Dalen, Robert and Tricia. Mary has two children, Tony and Brittany. His quiet way of loving each child made a lasting impact on each of their lives.  

As a family, we are confident he is up there sitting in the shade, enjoying a nice breeze and watching over us all.
