Gleneitta Maxine (Henselin) Stansfield was the daughter of William F. and Mary Ann (Demuth) Stansfield born on June 9, 1922 in Lake Sarah Township, Murray County, MN. Gleneitta married Edson Stansfield. Together they lived in the Metro area where she taught elementary school for a number of years. She also was a homemaker and took care of the family finances. After Edson?s retirement they moved to Lake Cowdry by Alexandria, MN and built a home. She enjoyed the lake life and visiting with friends. Gleneitta was a good cook and baked wonderful cakes and pies. She canned pickles and other vegetables every year. She was a warm and loving woman who loved dogs and was always fun to be with. Gleneitta died on Friday, July 11, 2008 at Crestview Manor in Evansville, MN at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Edson Stansfield of Evansville, MN; sister Henrietta (Etta) and brother-in-law Leo Horak of Grants Pass, OR; nephews Thomas Horak and William (Judy) Horak; grandnephew Colin (Kim) Horak; grandniece Maryann (Robbie) Melcher and their daughter Kayla Melcher; nineteen Stansfield nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Helen Foley of Minneapolis, MN. Gleneitta was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church with the Reverend Steve Binsfeld officiating. Entombment was in the St. Mary?s Catholic Mausoleum. Casket Bearers were Jim Stansfield, Tom Stansfield, Jack Stansfield, Terry Stansfield, John Foley, and Keith Hayford Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
