Glenn Muzik Glenn Muzik was born on June 13, 1924, in Lake Mary Township, Douglas County, Minnesota, the son of Louis and Helen (Carter) Muzik. He attended District #13 grade school and after graduation he began working on the farm where he was born. On October 22, 1951, Glenn was united in marriage to Arlene Botzet of Carlos at the St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River. In 1952 the couple took over management of the family farm where they raised their three children, Bill, Bob, and Mary. Glenn enjoyed deer hunting at Berg?s farm and fishing, especially when he was able to take his grandson, Lynn, along. He enjoyed all of his grandchildren, liked John Deere tractors, helping his sons with field work, and driving the large modern tractors. He also enjoyed watching the sports on television, especially the Minnesota Twins. Glenn died of complications of Parkinson?s disease on March 18, 2009, at the Bethany Home in Alexandria, Minnesota, at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his wife Arlene Muzik of Alexandria; son Bob and friend Deb Verpy of Lowry, son Bill and wife Karen and their children Lynn and Kayla on the family farm near Alexandria; daughter Mary and husband Rick Reigstad.of New London and their children Mario, Sara, Amy, and Becca and also two great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers-in-law, Ed and wife Bev Botzet and family of Carlos and Fred Botzet and family of International Falls, and a number of nieces and nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harvey Muzik, sister Mary Lou Unger, brother-in-law Leo Unger, father-in-law Paul and mother-in-law Selma Botzet, and sister-in-law Becky Barthel. Glenn will be missed by his family and friends. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He no longer has to struggle with his Parkinson?s disease. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, March 21, 2009, from the St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Alexandria with Rev. Steven Binsfeld officiating. Kayla Muzik was the Cross Bearer. Entombment was in the St. Mary?s Cemetery Mausoleum with Lynn Muzik, Dan Muzik, Joe Unger, Norman Schuhmacher, Kevin Huwe, Rick Reigstad, and Mario Reigstad serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Sara Reigstad, Amy Reigstad, Becca Reigstad, Rowan haven, Renner Haven and all the friendly visitors of Glenn.
