Grace was schooled in Parkers Prairie and later graduated from Brandon High School. Grace traveled to California to be married to her sweetheart who was serving in the US Army. On August 25, 1942 Grace was united in marriage to William Sharp in Glendale, CA. Grace and William returned to Minnesota and began farming the Sharp family farm at Carlos, MN.
