Harriet Wooldridge

HARRIET JUNE WOOLDRIDGE Harriet J. Wooldridge was born on March 2, 1916 in Dollymount Township, near Wheaton, MN to Lee and Cornelia (Proctor) Richards. She later moved with her family in 1933 to a farm near Alexandria. Harriet graduated from Central High School in Alexandria and then had a life long career in sales, working at Schaffers and the Fashionette in Alexandria. She married Alvin Meyer in May of 1940 and to this marriage they were blessed with a son, Robert. After the death of her husband Alvin in 1959 she later married Kelly Wooldridge in April of 1963. He died on May of 1965. Throughout Harriet?s life she enjoyed embroidery, making dishtowels and table clothes for family and friends. She also enjoyed the holidays and spent Christmas and Thanksgiving with her son and his family. She also liked to bake cookies during the holidays for her grandchildren. Harriet J. Wooldridge died on Friday, October 10, 2008 at Bethany Home in Alexandria at the age of 92. She is survived by her son, Robert and Micki Meyers of Alexandria; grandchildren, Al and Jeanette Meyers of Alexandria; Debbie and Steve Woessner of North Muskegon, MI; great-grandchildren, Jona Meyers of Alexandria, Jami Meyers of Minneapolis, Jacki Meyers of Alexandria, Josh Meyers of Duluth, MN, Zach Hunke of Sioux Falls, SD, Buddy Hunke of Brookings, SD, Martin Woessner of Grand Haven, MI, Mike Woessner of Temple, AZ, and Mason Woessner of Grand Rapids, MI; great-great- grandchildren, Zahra Woessner of Grand Haven, MI, Savian Tripton of Alexandria, William Piere of Alexandria, Blaire Piere of Alexandria, many nieces and nephews and friends. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Carnelia; first husband, Alvin Meyer and second husband, Kelly Wooldridge and four sisters. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Bethany Home Chapel with the Reverend Jeff Hansen officiating. Interment was in the Kinkead Cemetery. Casket Bearers were Jona Meyers, Jami Meyers, jacki Meyers, Josh Meyers, Zack Hunke, Buddy Hunke.
