Hunter Schultz

August 11, 1994 — November 17, 2019

Marion, Iowa

Hunter Maxwell Schultz a kind gentle soul was born on August 11, 1994, in Burnsville, MN the son of Kim and Sonja Schultz.  When Hunter was in Kindergarten the family moved to Alexandria.  At a young age his gentle outgoing spirit was appreciated by all who met him.  Hunter would walk into a place and be friends with people in no time.  He was always the person that would look out for the little guy and put everyone ahead of himself.

Hunter was involved in different Cardinal Athletic Programs.  As well as his love for the great outdoors which included, hunting, fishing, camping and golf.  Hunter’s kind heart showed in his work also – as a babysitter he enjoyed playing with the kids and would always recognize them when he saw them out and about.  Hunter was always thinking and was very inventive.  He was a true entrepreneur starting up his own lawn care business as a teenager.

After graduating from Alexandria High School in 2013 he continued his education at St. Cloud State University receiving his degree in Marketing and Business Organizational Management.  Hunter moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa shortly after graduation and worked in sales.

Hunter’s family was very important to him.  He looked forward to his trips to Obabikon Bay in Canada with his dad, grandpa, uncles and cousins.  He also enjoyed spending time at the lake with his grandparents in Alexandria as well as visiting the Ranch in Rapid City, SD.   Another fond memory was when he got his officiant license and married his sister, Caitlyn and Casey.  Time goofing with his family, laughing and just being his genuine caring self will never be forgotten.

Hunter died on Sunday, November 17, 2019 of unknown causes.  His legacy will go on in his family and friends but he will be missed by all.  He is survived by his mom, Sonja Schultz, dad, Kim Schultz; sister, Caitlyn (Casey) Olson; grandparents: Darrel & Helga Hagen and girlfriend, Alicia Brown and her three children, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Russ & Jan Schultz.
