JaLysa Cook

JaLysa Ann Cook was born on July 30, 2004, in Alexandria, Minnesota the daughter of Jeremy Cook and Amanda Rustman. She was baptized at St. Mary's Church in Alexandria and was in the 7th grade at Discovery Middle School.

JaLysa had the most beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She instantly would brighten any room. She loved her pickles and sunflower seeds and never wandered far from them and NOBODY better touch them.

JaLysa will be remembered as a very unselfish person who would do anything for anyone. She loved to dance, sing, go kayaking, fish and go hunting with her family. Longboarding was her passion and enjoyed hanging out with friends.

JaLysa was a beautiful, young girl who was always fun to be around - never allowed dull moments. She made an impact in the lives of everyone she touched. JaLysa had a heart given to her by Jesus that loved to be involved with the church and youth groups. She will always be her parent's precious little angel.

JaLysa died on Friday, April 28, 2017. She is survived by her parents: Jeremy & Amanda; brothers: Cheyne & Casey; grandparents: Liz & Irvin Cook of Nelson, Matt Rustman of Alexandria, Deb Rustman of Alexandria, great grandparents: Joan & Marvin Cook of Alexandria, Alfred Hindermann of Crosby; special dog, Zoey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.

She was preceded in death by great grandparents: Fritz & Donna Southerling, Matt & Eunice Rustman, Carolee Hindermann; great aunt, Kim Quinn.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017, 1:00 PM at St. Mary's Church in Alexandria. Burial will be at the Nelson Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home.
