Jean Roehrborn

Jean Roehrborn Jean Alta (Bandt) Roehrborn was born on October 28, 1932 in Chili, Wisconsin to Ervin and Ermine (Happe) Bandt. She attended Marshfield High School and graduated in June 1951. Jean?s interests were in the 4-H Club in her early years and also singing in her church choir. In May 1955, she was married to James Roehrborn after he returned home serving four years in the U.S. Navy. They moved to Minneapolis in 1956 after their first daughter Susan was born. Jim attended Northwestern College before becoming a Public School teacher for 31 years. Jean?s many hobbies were bowling, camping with her family, ceramics, knitting, crocheting, embroidering, and reading. She was also a member of Oxboro Evagelical Free Church in Bloomington, MN and Gideons International Auxillary. Jean was born again after viewing a Billy Graham film at the EUB Church in Chili, WI at the age of 20. John 3:16-17 were important in her decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Jean died on March 25, 2010 at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria at the age of 77 after suffering several years from cancer. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Ermine; two brothers, Marvin and Ronald. Jean is survived by her husband, James of Alexandria; two daughters, Susan Jean (Swanson) Roehrborn of Apple Valley, MN and Connie Lynn (Jim) Aure of Alexandria, MN; three grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Swanson of Melrose, MN, Joshua and Ashley Aure of Alexandria; one great-grandson, Caden Swanson of Melrose; and two sisters, Eleanor (Ray) Griep of Marshfield, WI and Barbara (Clayton) Carter of Sunset Beach, NC. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN with Reverend Don Trulson officiating. Music was provided by Kim Byrne. Interment was in Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria. Casket bearers were grandsons, Chris Swanson and Josh Aure; nephews, Mike Bandt, Steve Bandt, Tim Carter, and Andy Roehrborn. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
