Jeanne M. Jepsen was born in Brainerd, MN on September 19th, 1927 to Marie and Lloyd Hough of Faribault, MN. She graduated from Faribault High School in 1945 and went on to Mankato State College where she met her future husband, James Jepsen. They were married on August 26, 1947. They lived in Faribault and later Owatonna until 1969 when they moved to Jamestown, ND where she worked for the Dept. of Interior as administrative assistant to the director. She retired in 1989 and the couple moved to Alexandria where they resided until her death at 89.
She is survived by her four children: Patricia Ann Jepsen (Antonio Llopis) of Alexandria, Scott James Jepsen (Erin) of Pocatello, ID, Sherry Marie Turner of Frisco, TX and Kevin Harry Jepsen of Zapata, TX; six grandchildren, Tony, Stacy, Lisa, Celia, Janis and Jim; and three great grandchildren, Dylan, Mila and Max. She was preceded in death by her husband, James.
Jeanne was a very intelligent, funny and fun woman with a wealth of love, friends and laughter. Her family will miss her terribly as will all the people she has shared her stories with. She brought laughter wherever she went, and she went everywhere, belonging to many bridge clubs and organizations such as Daughters of Isabella, PEO, Chapter EL and St. Mary's church ladies. She was a life-long animal lover.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
