Jeanne Stark

November 18, 1927 — February 8, 2013

Jeanne Louise (Fabeck) Stark was born on November 18, 1927, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Benard and Myrtle (Tomai) Fabeck. She was raised in St. Paul and attended grade school at Saint Cecilia?s Catholic School and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul, MN. Jeanne was united in marriage to Lawrence ?Bud? Stark on March 2, 1945, at the St. Paul Cathedral in St. Paul. After their marriage, the couple moved to Lake Elmo and then to Wisconsin where they farmed and started their family. In 1959, the Starks moved to Kensington where they bought a Hardware Store. The family lived in two apartments above their store and during this time they had two different fires. The Starks saw first-hand the goodness of people as they helped the family during this tough time. They continued to run the Hardware Store until Bud?s death in 1994, and in 1995 Jeanne moved to Alexandria. Jeanne continued to stay active by caring for four of her grandchildren and also other children in the area. Jeanne will be remembered as a woman with strong faith and trust in God. She was a very strong outspoken woman who taught by example. Jeanne never forgot a birthday of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved keeping up on current events whether it was local, state or national.
