Jeffrey Gordon Clapshaw was born February 8, 1955 at Douglas County Hospital, the second son of James and Arlene (Schulz) Clapshaw. Jeffrey was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran School and Church. He attended Zion School his first years of school and graduated from Jefferson High School. After high school he joined the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1973-1976.
Jeffrey married Teckla Anderson on August 18, 1973. To this marriage a son, Christopher, was born. Jeffrey’s interests mostly were with the outdoors: hunting, fishing, and watching stock car racing.
Surviving him are his son Christopher (Amy) Clapshaw and granddaughters Mercedes Clapshaw and Desaray Burgener, brother Robert Clapshaw, mother Arlene Lanning, nephew and niece; Adam (Danielle) Clapshaw, Katherine (Michael) Verospko and Great niece and nephews; Kiera Austin, and Kyler Clapshaw.
Preceding him in death are his father James Clapshaw and brother Michael Clapshaw (1992).
A Memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria, MN with the Reverend Geoff Gronewold officiating. Inurnment was in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN
