Jeffrey Wadsworth was born on October 19, 1959 in Alexandria Minnesota, son of Edward & Evadne (Ziegelman) Wadsworth. He grew up in Alexandria, was baptized and confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church. Jeff enjoyed his church family and attended Zion Lutheran School. He participated in various sports and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1978.
He was united in marriage to Vicki Steen on August 27th, 1983. Together they raised two wonderful sons, Joshua and Daniel. Jeff was an incredible father and loved spending time with his boys on their farm. He also spent special time together ministering to those in need with his mom, Evadne. One of his favorite pleasures in life was her homemade pies. Jeff spent many hours duck hunting with his dad and brother Steve and fishing with his father in law, Carl.
Jeff was a successful business owner and founder of JWS Industries, along with his business partner, Bruce Stang of Paynesville, Minnesota.
He was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was considerate, kind, and always put the needs of others first. He loved being in his apple orchard, which he and his dad planted together. He relished his time with the family at the lake cabin and looked forward every year to putting up Martin houses with his sons—a tradition passed on by his father.
Jeff went to be with his Savior on Monday, July 15th, 2024, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. He is survived by his wife, Vicki; sons, Joshua and Daniel; mother, Evadne; brother, Steve (wife, Edie); sisters, Julie Wadsworth & Susan Wadsworth (Al Cassavant); and his many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, 1:00-2:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria with a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Garfield.
