Jerry Allyn Glisky, formerly of West St. Paul, died peacefully on April 17, 2024, at the age of 81, at his home in Garfield, MN. He was born on October 4, 1942, in Appleton, MN, and graduated from Appleton High School in 1960. Jerry married Pat Reynolds of Montevideo, MN, on July 9, 1966. He was actively involved with St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, serving on both the Parish Council and School Board. He also served 8 years on the Spina Bifida Association of America National Board. Jerry spent his entire career at 3M retiring after 35 years.
Jerry was known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and his storytelling always brightened the room. He was an avid Gopher fan, and never gave up hope! He and Pat moved up to their lake home and have been enjoying retirement life since 2013.
Jerry was a proud father and enjoyed coaching them in sports when they were young. He also cherished countless summers at the lake with his family. His greatest joy in life was his grandchildren, with whom he loved to play games, watch their activities, share silly stories and celebrate their accomplishments.
Survived by his wife of 57 years, Pat (Reynolds) Glisky; brother Edward Jr. (Karen) of New Braunfels, TX; son Jeff (Julie) and grandchildren Taylor, Austin, Andrew, Alex of Prescott, WI; daughter Christine Fitzgerald (Darin) and grandchildren Rose, Jack, and Ryan of Clive, IA; son James Glisky of Burnsville, MN; Step-son Jeff Lashbrook (Stacy) grandchildren Hunter, Paige, Robyn of Marble Falls, TX; Sisters-In-Law Linda Lindahl (Dan), Ruth Reynolds, Pam Reynolds (Craig); as well as numerous nieces, nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Della (Smith) Glisky; Brothers-in-law Gary and Larry Reynolds.
