Jillian Rochelle Ellingson was born on September 16, 1978 in Alexandria, Minnesota, the daughter of Alan Patton and LuAnn McFarlane. Jill attended grade school and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1997. After school she began working as a nanny for the Wensman and Odland families. While caring for their children she realized her dream of opening her own day care, which led to the opening of Dragon Fly Daycare. In 2005 Sammy was born and soon Jill decided to focus on loving and caring for her own child. In 2007 Jill began working at Walmart in the Customer Service Department. She pursued training through Walmart and was currently employed as a Pharmacy Technician.
Jill married JD Ellingson on August 22, 2009. Jill loved and cared for JD’s son Titus with open arms and unconditional love. Jill and JD were soon blessed with their daughter Harper in 2010. Jill’s three children were her life. Spending time on the lake and playing in the sun with her kids was the highlight of her life. While growing up family trips were always full of joyful memories.
Jill was a beautiful, smart and compassionate woman. She had a bright smile that would light up a room. Her quick wit and great sense of humor made it easy for people to instantly have a connection with her. Although she loved a wild-game meal, she was never able to prepare one herself. She had the ability to make her friends and family feel the love she had for them. Jill made quilts for family friends and people who were in need. She had a special talent for scrapbooking, preserving all the wonderful memories she had in her life.
Jill’s favorite pastimes were reading books, riding on the Harley and tending to her flower gardens. She was known for borrowing perennials, planting them in her garden and watching them grow. Jill had a special relationship with her sister, the two teased each other on how frugal Jill was and how much of a planner Ashley was. She was known to have a cup of coffee in the morning, a Kit Kat during the day, and a Bud Light Lime at night by the bon fire.
Jill will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
