JoAnne Harapat

JoAnne was born on October 29, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of Stanley and Dorothy (Snyder) Harapat. She graduated from Paynesville High School and furthered her education at Alexandria Technical College. Many years were spent working at Alexandria Extrusion. In her younger years JoAnne enjoyed doing some traveling. She also loved reading books, drawing, painting, being with children and playing scrabble. JoAnne was a very quite, simple person who never complained, accepted life as it was and was not a materialistic lady. JoAnne died on Friday, January 30, 2009, at Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis. She is survived by her son, Eric of St. Cloud; brothers: Gordy of Minneapolis, Gary of Alexandria, Dale of New Mexico; sisters: Sharon Seward of Alexandria, Clarann Harapat of Alexandria, Kathy & husband, Mark Theisen of Sioux City, IA; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Stanley Harapat and Dorothy Weiland; brother, David. Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 5, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Peshek officiating. Pallbearers were Will Hasapopoulos, Jeff Theisen, Jeff Dahl, Travis Seward, Shawn Thelen, Sean Petermeier.
