John Gaspard

John Anthony Gaspard was born on August 29, 1947, in Richmond, California. He attended school in Richmond and worked several jobs in the area.
In 1980, John moved to Minnesota where he met and married Vickie Hallstrom on December 11, 1981 in Glenwood. The couple lived in Glenwood for a short time and then moved to Alexandria in 1983. John worked as a custodian at Viking Plaza Mall for several years. He loved spending time with his grandsons and friends.
John died on Saturday, December 9, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Vickie; son, Jon Schlief of Alexandria; daughter, Ingrid Stanley of Osakis; mother, Juanita; brother, Alex; sisters: Dorothy, Diane, Margaret, Bern.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Dan; sister, Mary.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017, 1:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.
