OBITUARY JOYCE A. YTTRIE ?Grandma Joyce? Joyce Ann Yttrie was born on October 11, 1941 in Clara City, MN, the daughter of Henry and Taleana (Degrote) Kluver. She attended grade school up to 8th grade in Alexandria. Joyce worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Knute Nelson for 30 years. Joyce enjoyed being around family and watching her grandchildren?s activities and ballgames always with a proud smile. She would grow a garden with her grandchildren and loved playing with them. She loved being a part of her grandchildren?s lives and watching them grow. Joyce also liked to gamble a little bit and visit with friends. Her favorite places to be were her home with family and her church. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her. Joyce A. Yttrie died on Friday, May 6, 2011 after a battle with a heart disease at her home at the age of 69 years old. She is survived by her daughter Joyce Ann Meyers (Lee); sons Gary Henry (Becky), Tim Christian (Tammy), brothers Simon (Vera), James (Rosemary) Roger (Joan), Marlow Kluver; brothers-in-law Vern Taft, Red Swenson; sisters Grace Stromen, Doris (Dean) Olson, Rosella (Elmer) Benjaminson, sister-in-law Marlyn Kluver and grandchildren Jennifer Yttrie, Andrew Yttrie, Stephanie Meyers, Randy Meyers, Kimberly Meyers, Christan Yttrie, Taryn Yttrie, and two great granddaughters. She was preceeded in death by her parents Henry and Taleana Kluver, brothers: Loranny Kluver, Delbert Kluver; sisters Minnie Taft, Mary Simonson, Lorraine Swenson, niece Carol Wise and Sharon (Simonson) Klint. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Alexandria with the Reverend Don Reisig officiating. Interment was in the Hudson Cemetery. Casket Bearers were Donald Benjaminson, Bryan Benjaminson, Dean Olson, Jerry Dahlseng, Scott Kluver, and Bob Kluver. Honorary Casket Bearers were all of Joyce?s grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and all the staff at Windmill Ponds.
