Judith “Judy” Schintz was born on July 24, 1939, in Glenwood City, Wisconsin the daughter of Gustav and Vivian (Villman) Harer. She grew up in Wisconsin and at a young age moved to the Twin Cities.
Judy was united in marriage to Paul Schintz in West St. Paul. The couple continued to live in the Twin Cities after their marriage but loved coming up to their cabin on Lake Stony during their time off. Judy enjoyed fishing, watching the Minnesota Twins & Vikings - she never missed a game.
Judy died on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at her home. She is survived by her two brothers: Doug (Judy) of Cottage Grove, Mike (Karen) of Hugo; sister, Alice (Tim) Duncanson of Inver Grove; brother-in-law, Dick Schintz of Inver Grove; her favorite little buddy, Scooter and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; sister, Carol Williams and nephew, Tim Schintz.
Celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, August 3, 2017 12:00 PM at her brother, Doug’s home 8662 Hamlet Ave South, Cottage Grove. Burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home.
