Judy Janke has gone to join her husband Bob who left us last year. Judy was born On May 31, 1941, in Hudson, New York, she graduated from Hudson high school in 1959 then graduated from Becker junior college in 1961 as a medical secretary. She then traveled across the country to California with her mother. While in California she met her future sister-in-law Susan Pease. Susan introduced Judy to her brother Bobby. The two fell in love and Bob proposed while stationed overseas in Turkey, Judy said yes, they moved to Bob’s hometown of Alexandria and on the 13 of October in 1965 Judith Schriver married Bob Janke. Judy went to work as the secretary for the medical examiner, and Bob went to work at the family’s shoe store. Throughout the 52 years they spent together, they raised two sons Mark and Chris (Jen) and 4 grandchildren Autumn and Tanner (Mark) and Kylee and Alayna (Chris and Jen) and two great-grandsons Landon and Oliver (Autumn). Judy and Bob together ran the family’s shoe store Janke’s Shoes.  After they closed the shoe store, Judy went on to be the volunteer coordinator at the Douglas County hospital. After they retired the two spent their free time running all over the state looking for treasures at garage sales, it was a passion.

Judy enjoyed cooking, reading, planting and caring for her flowers, her dogs Axel and Frieda, Judy also spent time crafting ceramics and cross stitching, doing jigsaw puzzles, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Judy will be reunited with her Father, Mother and Step Father, Donald and Shirley Schriver and James Hall. Her Daughter Sara and her husband Bob. She will be greatly missed by her family and her friends.  There will be a private family service.
