Kassie Dillon

Kassie Lyn Dillon, 16, of Carlos, was born on January 26, 2001 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She is the daughter of Kimberly (Weber) Dillon and Christopher Dillon. She attended school at Alexandria Area High School where she would have been a Junior this next year. Kassie was currently working at Pizza Ranch in Alexandria. Kassie died June 28, 2017 as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash.
Kassie was always up for an “adventure,” no matter what time of day it was. Whether it was raining, snowing, storming, or 103 degrees, she was always trying to drag everyone along for an adventure, even if it were just to Walmart, the local Humane Society to pet animals, or McDonalds to get her famous McNuggets. She was known for being an adventurer, a free spirit, her love for nature and animals, the life of the party, her dreads, hideous sweaters, and her tongue out. She was always helping those in need and wanted to make the world a better place. We’ll never forget her contagious smile and laughs she brought with her absolutely everywhere she went.
Kassie is survived by her mother, Kimberly Dillon (Matt Jones) of Carlos; father, Christopher Dillon, of Alexandria, brothers Cody (Abby McCrady) of Fort Dodge, IA and Kaden (Jordan Dahl) at home in Carlos; sister KayLee (Cody Betterman) of Carlos and her beloved cat, Roxanne. She also leaves her maternal grandparents, Leo and Mary Weber of Alexandria; and her paternal grandparents, Denny and LeAnn Lawler of Clare, IA and Terry and Bonnie Dillon of Garfield. Kassie is loved and dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her great grandparents; Leo Sr and Gertrude Weber, Henry and Ethel Mastellar; Alice and Dean Quade, Jim and Delores Lawler, Lois and Ken Dillon.
Visitation hours will be Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday July 6, 2017 at 11:00am at Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to the Kassie Dillon Memorial Fund at Black Ridge Bank of Alexandria.
