OBITUARY
Kay Ann Faber, the daughter of Harold and Audrey (Hines) Wussow, was born on July 1, 1943 in Mankato, MN. She lived in Austin, MN before moving to Fridley, MN where she graduated high school in 1961. Kay met Jerald Faber in Austin, MN and together they were united in marriage on February 2, 1963 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Austin, MN. In 1972 they moved to Alexandria where they raised their three children Chris, Dave and Paula. Kay worked as a teacher's aide for over twenty years at Lincoln School. She also proudly attended every school activity and contest any of her children and grandchildren had over the years.
Kay had many activities that kept her busy. She liked fishing on Lake Miltona at the cabin or in Canada and she liked making crafts and reading books. Kay enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours tending to her flowers, the yardwork and relaxing in the shade. Kay's most important activity was taking care of her grandchildren. She loved watching them grow and become young ladies and men. She taught them many things over the years that only a grandma could. The little presents she gave, special trips to McDonalds to play in the jungle gym, and trips to the park and beach with snacks and juice will be special memories for each of her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
On Saturday, September 3, 2016, Kay A. Faber passed away unexpectantly, but peacefully, in her sleep at her home. She is survived by her husband, Jerald Faber of Alexandria; children, Chris Faber (Julie Cassell) of Alexandria, Dave Faber (Lori Rehovsky) of Alexandria, and Paula Faber (Mike Sturges) of Brandon; nine grandchildren, Ashlee (Cory) Abers, Jenell Faber, Alanah Faber, Chase Faber, Allison Sturges, Cody Faber, Jenna Sturges, Danielle Faber, and Marissa Sturges; siblings, Judy (Bob) Biermaier of Coon Rapids, Jim (Sindi) Wussow of Hackensack, Patty (Chris) Warneke of Coon Rapids, and sister-in-law Sue Wussow of IL. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Audrey Wussow and her brother Doug Wussow.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 5PM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 3-5PM at the Anderson Funeral Home on Thursday afternoon.
