Kay Pautz

Kay Dianne Anton was born on November 28, 1944, in Mankato, Minnesota. The daughter of Arlo and Armilla (Koplen) Anton. Kay graduated from Winthrop High School and furthered her education receiving her degree in nursing. On January 30, 1965, Kay was united in marriage to Gary Walter Pautz at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. To this union two sons were born: Thomas & Douglas. The couple resided in Northeast Minneapolis for several years and then moved to Maple Grove, MN. In 1991, Kay?s husband, Gary, was transferred to Seattle and they moved there until they retired to the cabin in 2011. Kay was an active member at the following churches: Gloria Dei in Minneapolis, MN, Light of Christ in Federal Way, WA and Ebenezer in Leaf Valley, MN. She became a Corvette Club member with her husband in Tacoma, WA. She loved playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family and many friends, and of course the family pups. Gary and Kay felt blessed that they could share their homes with their neighbors and many guests. You could always be assured Kay would have your favorite baked goods waiting for you. Gary and Kay died on Thursday, July 24, 2014, in Kansas due to an automobile accident. She is survived by her sons: Tom & wife, Angela of Maple Grove; Doug & wife, Katie of Minneapolis; four grandchildren: Matthew Palmer, Michael & wife, Atanza Palmer, Abigail & Amber Pautz; sister, Caroline ?Carol? Swanson. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Leaf Valley Township with visitation one hour prior to the service at church.
