Keith Darwin Lundsetter was born January 3, 1962 in Fergus Falls, MN, the son of Franklin and Shirley (Vold) Lundsetter. Keith grew up in Fergus Falls where he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1980. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota, Morris, where he received degrees in Psychology and Human Services.
On August 23, 1986 Keith was united in marriage to Christine Anne Peterick at St. Michael’s Church in Mahnomen, MN. The couple made their home in Hancock, MN where Keith completed his educational career. After three years, Keith and his family moved to Alexandria, MN, where he continued his career in the field of human services as a Program Director. Over the years, Keith has worked for Prairie Community Services (PCS) in various roles. He has served the people of PCS as a Program Administrator and more recently as the Corporate Program Administrator. This work took him to communities throughout the state where he evaluated the PCS homes and oversaw many improvements throughout the company. Keith was able to serve the people of PCS for over thirty years.
Keith loved the outdoors. He loved living on Lake Andrew and enjoyed all the activities available including boating, bonfires, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and just spending time with his family and friends. He also loved deer, pheasant, and grouse hunting. He enjoyed playing golf, weight lifting, grilling, camping, and traveling. As a young man, Keith excelled at high school wrestling and had fun playing trombone in the band. He enjoyed classic rock and going to concerts.
Keith was active in several organizations. He volunteered his time to First Lutheran Church and participated in church events. He served on the Alex Tech Human Services Advisory Council, the Lake Andrew Association Board, the DAC Board, and was a member of the Viking Sportsmen’s Club and Cluk Cluk Lodge. Keith was also a member of the toughest group of fans – the Minnesota Vikings.
Keith’s family was one of the most important things in his life. He loved being with Chris and was very proud of his girls and grandchildren. Keith was devoted to attending every sporting event, concert, and play. He was a great source of support and encouragement, whether it was in the stands or over the phone, Keith’s wise advice and contagious laughter provided much comfort and strength. Those qualities were fondly shared by Keith’s “other family,” a unique group of lifelong high school friends. They would gather together often to shoot the breeze, talk about life, and laugh hard.
