Kelly Buechler

October 30, 1968 — August 29, 2018

Alexandria

Kelly L (Bahr) Buechler, daughter of Eugene and Barbara Bahr, was born on October 30, 1968 in Litchfield, MN.  She graduated from Litchfield Senior High School in 1987 and went on to complete an associate degree in accounting from St. Cloud Technical College.

On April 29, 1989, she married her high school sweetheart, Craig Buechler, whom she spent 29 wonderful years loving. He was her always and forever and they did life together in every sort of way. Together, they had three children who were Kelly’s biggest pride and joy. She made every effort, even up until her last minutes, to be a source of strength for her children and that is how they will remember her. In 2000, Kelly moved with her family to Alexandria, Minnesota where they were able to make many more memories together. She did a variety of jobs in her life including driving the school bus, taking care of the disabled and working as a customer service supervisor for ITW Heartland. She loved people and would do anything for anyone.

Kelly enjoyed gardening, being outside on a nice sunny day and especially enjoyed her walks with whomever would agree to go along. She loved to be adventurous but also loved and enjoyed the home Craig and her had made. She was an avid watcher of HGTV and loved a good magazine every once in a while, with her cup of coffee. Her family was her world and the day her first grandchild was born, she always said she had a little piece of heaven on earth. She spent as much time playing, reading books and being the best grandma to Braxtyn and Briggs in the time God gave her.

She was a fighter and fought her cancer battle with dignity and strength until she took her very last breath. She was a hero to many, but most of all to her family.

Kelly passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at the age of 49. She is preceded in death by her grandparents. Her memory lives on in her husband, Craig: children, Michael (Kelsey) Buechler, Kayli (Lucas) McCann, and Preston Buechler; and grandchildren, Braxtyn and Briggs; parents, Eugene and Barbara Bahr; brother, Troy (Jane) Bahr; sisters, Tammy (Ron) Schmitz, Kimberly (Brian) Shropshire, Stacy (Kent) Johnson, and Candace (Patrick) Fank; father and mother-in-law, Leo and Julie Buechler; sister-in-law, Patti (Neil) Portner;  and many nieces, nephews, great aunts, uncles and cousins.
