Kenneth Herman Jeseritz was born June 7, 1938 in Wood Lake, MN, the son of William and Caroline (Fillbrandt) Jeseritz. Kenneth grew up in Wood Lake where he graduated from high school. He continued his education attending college in Brookings, SD. On August 11, 1957, Kenneth was united in marriage to Beverly Timm at St. Luke?s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake. After getting married they moved to the cities where he attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Kenneth and Beverly returned to Wood Lake to farm with his father. They were blessed with four children, Brenda, David, Mark and John. He farmed with his sons, eventually turning things over to them. He continued to help out on the farm until retiring and moving to their home on Blackwell Lake near Holmes City, MN. Kenneth was very active in his community. He was a longtime member of St. John?s Lutheran church and had served on various church boards. He also served on the local school board, elevator board, Lion?s Club, and the community center building committee. He was also a tax preparer and a Pioneer Sales Representative. Kenneth enjoyed working on the farm, watching all sports, hunting, and fishing. Kenneth also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and had visited all fifty states. On Saturday, December 29, 2012, following a short bout with cancer, Kenneth died at the age of seventy-four years at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Jeseritz of Holmes City Township; children, Brenda Drager and husband Bruce, David Jeseritz and wife, Lori, Mark Jeseritz and wife, Carrie and John Jeseritz and wife, Tami, all of Wood Lake; grandchildren, Rachel Boe, and husband, Kyle, Beth Drager and special friend, Josh Kettering, Melanie Netland and husband, Cory, Briana Nething and husband, Dean, Luke Jeseritz and wife, Ashley, Benjamin Drager and wife, Hannah, Courtney Jeseritz, Olivia Jeseritz, Amanda Jeseritz, Leah Jeseritz, Jared Jeseritz and Will Jeseritz; great grandchildren, Carson and Lauren Boe, Lydia and Isaac Netland, and Aubrey, Tessa and Seth Nething; sister, Debbie Van Kempen and husband, Joe, of Lenexa, KS; brother-in-law, Curtis Norskog of Fort Collins, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David; and sister, Marian Norskog. Blessed be his memory. A funeral service was held Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church in Alexandria, MN. Reverend Michael Neumann officiated. Cory Netland and Sharon Heike provided music. Honorary pallbearers included all of Kenneth?s grandchildren Arrangements were with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
