Kent Glover

Kent Robert Glover was born on December 14, 1952 at the St. Cloud Hospital, in St. Cloud Minnesota to Robert and Evelyn (Friedman) Glover. Kent grew up in Cold Spring where he graduated in 1971 from Rocori High School.

He married Laura Daum on March 22, 1975 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN. Kent and Laura began their life in Minneapolis where their first born child Tia was born. They had four children together: Tia, Trent, Kelly and Kory.
Kent spent most of his adult years as a metal finisher and worked 22 years at Alexandria Extrusion before retiring in August of 2011. His whole life he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping: something he passed onto his children and grandchildren. Kent also enjoyed playing cribbage. Since retiring Kent also enjoyed wood working in his woodshop at his home and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Kent loved making wood crafts for his family. He was family oriented, helpful, caring, witty, and charming.
Kent died on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at his home in Alexandria. He is survived by his wife, Laura Glover; children, Tia Glover, Trent (Lisa) Glover, Kelly Glover, Kory (Sarah) Glover, and grandchildren: Kaylee, Kristen, Ashley, Megan, Cole, Aubree, Brielle and Jada; brother and sisters, Dennis (Hap) Glover, Terry Glover, Charlene (Michael) Kruger, Rhonda (Brian) Thomas, and many nieces and nephews.
Kent is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Evelyn.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria with Reverend Ken Mayberry and Dr. Lee Gugliotto officiating. Honorary casket bearers were Kent’s Children and Grandchildren.
