Kerry Zimmel

Kerry Donald Zimmel was born on April 13, 1950, in Alexandria, Minnesota the son of Andrew and Dorathea (Muyres) Zimmel. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River. The Zimmel family lived on a farm near Belle River where Kerry enjoyed the animals and tractors. As a teenager he moved into a group home in Brainerd and lived in several different homes where he enjoyed helping the workers by riding in the garbage truck or just watching the traffic. Kerry died on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. He is survived by his sisters: Karen Ammerman of Alexandria, Ramona Radil of Alexandria and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Darrel, Vincent, Romuald; sisters: Arlene Stedje, Violet LeRoy; niece, Judith Bond and great nephews, Jeremy Bond and Kevin Zimmel. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, September 26, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Belle River. Burial was at St. Nicholas Cemetery.
