Kevin Karel Kleve was born March 31, 1967 in Worthington, Minnesota to Karel and Shirley (Sachen) Kleve. He was baptized and confirmed at Fulda Lutheran Church. Kevin attended Fulda High School through his junior year and graduated from Osakis High School.
Kevin married Tina Williams on April 26, 1986 at Osakis Lutheran Church. The couple was blessed with four children. Kevin worked several different trades from working at Fingerhut, Banta, Tennessee Road House, bartending at various bars, Oak Park Campground and driving school bus for District 206 in Alexandria for eight years. Kevin’s passion was fishing and he was a fishing guide around the Alexandria Area as well as The Lake Of The Woods. In 2009, Kevin invented lights for fish houses and his company was called Northern Bright Lights.
Besides his passion for fishing, Kevin also enjoyed hunting and going to the races in Cedar Lake, WI. He was very hardworking, had a great sense of humor and liked to make people smile.
Kevin died unexpectedly on a fishing trip near Roslyn, SD on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the age of 47. He is survived by his parents, Karel and Shirley of Brandon; children, Kasey Kleve of Big Lake, Nick (fiancANLGAC., Jamie Springer) Kleve of Moorhead, Brianna (Charlie) Faust of Glenwood, Heather Kleve of Browerville, and Caleb Kleinke of Sidney, MT; step-grandchildren, Autumn and Caiden Knox; sister, Carlee (Tom Miller) Hunter of Sherburne; many aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers and friends. Kevin is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Harriet Kleve; and maternal grandparents, Roy and Clara Sachen.
A funeral service was held on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria with Reverend Wayne Erickson officiating.
