Kimberly Ann (Hill) Loquist was born on September 2, 1956 in St. Charles, IL to John and Marilyn (Burggaf) Hill. She graduated from high school in United Township, in East Moline, IL. Kim attended college classes in nursing and culinary at Blackhawk Community College in Moline, IL. Kim lived in many different places from the Quad Cities in Illinois and Iowa to Coos Bay, OR. In 2002, Kim moved to Alexandria to be with her soul mate, David Pedersen who brought her happiness and many smiles. Kim enjoyed baking, crocheting, genealogy, drawing, wildlife, and was a strong supporter of organizations trying to save the planet. She also enjoyed facebook, and playing zoo world. Kim died on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the Viking Towers at the age of 53. She is survived by her father, John (Mary) Hill of Gamaliel, KY; mother, Marilyn May of Chicago, IL; children, Tara (Samual) Farrell of Clinton, IA, April Williams of Davenport, IA, Joe Reynolds of LaSalle, IL and Katherine Hill of Alexandria, MN; 10 grandchildren, Veronica, Samantha, Teresa, Michael, Anthony, Chelsey, Brandon, Thomas, Seth and Taijianna; 5 great-grandchildren, Janiya, Joshua, Izayah, Leilani, and Izabellah; brother, Mark (Nancy) Hill of Austin, TX; sisters, Lisa (Louie) Randazzo of Chicago, IL, Patty Williams of Belvidere, NC, and Brandi Hill Grimme of Nashville, TN. Kim is preceded in death by her brother, John Hill II; and her soul mate, David Pedersen. A funeral service was held on Saturday, August, 14, 2010 at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria with Reverend John Peshek officiating. Inurnment was held in the Kinkead Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers were Joe Reynolds, Colin Nelson, Nathan Brown, Shawn Sipe, Russell Pedersen and Brad Pierce. Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
