LaJune Wollin

LaJune Marilyn (Anderson) Wollin was born on August 18, 1932, in Alexandria, MN, the daughter of Alfred and Clara (Schulke) Anderson. She graduated from Central High School in Alexandria, MN in the class of 1950. She then married Robert Wollin on December 11, 1950 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Alexandria. After their marriage they moved to California, where Robert was stationed in the Navy and then moved to Kenosha, WI. Six children were born to this marriage, Dale, Darrel, Dennis, Steven, Scott, and Sandra. LaJune was a homemaker all of her life. She enjoyed listening to old time music also county and western music. She liked to dance polkas, waltz, and schottisches. LaJune and Robert?s favorite dance song was ?In the Mood?. She was a great cook and loved to bake pies, bread and dumplings for her family. LaJune loved vacationing on Lake Ida since the early 1960?s and in August of 1985, she and Robert retired to the lake home near Alexandria. She liked having her children and grandchildren visit and spend time with her at the lake. LaJune liked fishing and watching the Vikings and the Minnesota Twins on the television. She took daily walks, loved dogs, made quilts and crotched. She will be missed by those who loved and knew her. LaJune M. Wollin died on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Bethany Home in Alexandria at the age of 75. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Robert Wollin of Alexandria; sons Dale (Barb) Wollin of Alexandria; Darrel Wollin of Orange Park, FL; Dennis Wollin of Alexandria; Steven (Tammy) Wollin of Racine, WI; Scott (Debbie) Wollin of LaCrosse, WI; daughter Sandra (Bryan) Northway of Keystone Heights, FL; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers Gordon (Donna) Anderson of South St. Paul, MN; Raymond and Bonnie Anderson of Alexandria; nieces; nephews; and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Alfa Kluver.
