Lane Steen

Lane Arthur Steen was born September 25, 2010 at Douglas County Hospital at 9:11AM to parents, Michael and Ashley (Jacobson) Steen. He weighed 8 lbs 2 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. He was baptized on November 28, 2010 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Lane was just starting to discover his hands and his voice. He was very alert, as he loved watching his big brother, Haddan and watching hockey with his Dad. For the short time Lane was with us, he touched many peoples? hearts with his contagious smile and belly laugh. He will live in our hearts forever. Lane passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on Friday, January 28, 2011 at the age of 4 months and 3 days. He is survived by his loving parents, Michael and Ashley and brothers, Leyton and Haddan; grandparents, Carl and Margery Steen, and Tom and Rodella Jacobson all of Alexandria; uncles and aunts, Jill (Don) Kleine, Vicki (Jeff) Wadsworth, Joe (Jill) Steen, Brad (Becky) Kallhoff, Melissa (Andy) Shellito; his cousins; and Godparents, Ben and Teela Johnson. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Alexandria with Reverend Don Reisig officiating. Music was provided by organist, Mark Graf. Interment was held in Lake Leven Cemetery in Leven Township. Casket bearers were Ben Johnson and Teela Johnson and Dave Greiner. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
